Welcome to Spay and Save!
Spay and Save, Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to general animal welfare and education. Our network of volunteers strives to help good people adopt healthy pets. We’re not the largest animal rescue, and we’re okay with that! We form genuine relationships with our adopters and help them find the perfect additions to their families. We stay in touch with our adopters to ensure their pets are happy and healthy, and we help them find whatever assistance and care they might need.
There is no mandatory adoption fee with our organization, but donations in any amount are always welcome and appreciated. All donations made to Spay and Save, Inc. are 100% tax deductible. Every penny of your monetary donation goes directly to veterinary services as well as food and supplies for our foster pets awaiting their forever homes.

Bumble
Bumble was rescued from a roof in Upper Darby with 4 litter mates (Francesca, Francine, Firefly & Cyrus). The litter was up there scouting for a foster family when our volunteers scooped them up so they could be placed in a warm foster home. They have flourished since being rescued. Bumble is curious, playful, and quick to ask for pets and headbutts. He loves to be held and sit in your lap. He, like most kittens and his littermates love to play with cat toys & wrestle They love each other, but can be adopted together or separately, although adopting him with a sibling is ideal. If you think he and/or his siblings would fit well in your home, please apply.
ONLY adopt if you can commit to these sweet pets their lifetime span of 12 to 15 years.

Hazel
HAZEL’s lucky day was today! A kind rescue volunteer came across Hazel crossing a busy street in the heart of Norristown. When the rescuer exited her vehicle, Hazel immediately ran up to her and was more than happy to be carried into the car. Hazel seems to be a quiet, calm kitty. She has just arrived in the rescue and her interaction with other kitties is not yet known. Her exposure to dogs is unknown. She is very people friendly and would enjoy a household that would give her the attention this special little girl deserves. She eats both wet and dry and has a healthy appetite.
Please apply ONLY if you can commit to this pet's lifetime; along with giving her the care and kindness deserved.

Reign
Reign is a sweet little girl whose previous owners did not have enough time for her and kept her crated too many hours in a day. Only 5 to 6 months old, she has the most adorable face with those ears and is smaller than she looks in her pictures only weighing 25 pounds. Reign loves to play with her toys and run around her fenced yard. She gave us kisses minutes after meeting us.. Reign needs an experienced owner preferably with another dog sister or brother who loves to play. Reign can be a little overwhelming with her undaunted spirit and non-stop energy, so she would do best in an adult home without small children or senior adults. She would benefit greatly by an owner who enjoys spending time training and playing with this girl. Please apply if you would love to be Reign's forever person. Fosters are greatly encouraged, also!
***Spay and Save adopts to families living in Bucks, Montgomery and Chester Counties in PA only, where our volunteers do home visits. ****

Jetta
My name is Jetta. I am a super sweet beautiful young pup. I came up from GA with Toby. We don't know if he is my brother or not and since I can't talk, I can't tell anyone. I love running and playing and I am getting really good at walking on a leash and I haven't been pottying in my kennel overnight. For only being in PA for a week, I think that is really great. I am up to date on all age appropriate vaccines but I am not yet spayed bc I am still so young. If they spay me too soon, I could have lifelong issue with urinary tract infections and nobody wants that, especially me. I do have a back toe deformity, so my back pinky toe will need to be removed when I am spayed, but that will just add to my specialness. Soooooo, If you are looking for the most beautifullest girl ever - I'm your pup. If you can give me a safe loving home and provide me with love, attention, food and veterinary care, then feel free to click on apply to adopt me.

Gabby
My name is Gabby. I was once part of a litter of ten living in warm, wonderful GA -- but then a cold front came through. Since my previous owner kept us all outside we had no way of getting out of the cold, harsh weather. Sadly, due to our living conditions and lack of shelter and warmth, all of my siblings froze to death. I am the lone survivor of my family. I was brought up from GA in hopes of finding a new forever family that will love me and cherish me and make sure that I never have to experience anything like that again. If you are capable of providing me with love, shelter, food and medical care, then please feel free to click on the apply to adopt me button.

Spotlight on Volunteers
Laura Nikora
LAURA NIKORA has been volunteering for Spay and Save for 4 ½ years. She has recently assumed the duties of a co-coordinator because of her diligence, dedication and dependability. She first learned about Spay and Save after losing her beloved cat to cancer and needing to fill the emptiness in her home and in her heart. She adopted a kitten at an adoption event and says, “We couldn’t be happier!” Laura volunteers several times per week, filling in whenever a vacancy occurs. She purchases supplies and transports. What she likes about our organization is that volunteers really step up to help each other when needed and that our kitties get the “best possible care” until they go on to their forever home. Laura joined Spay and Save to “make a difference not only in the lives of the cats we have in our care but for those who are adopting our animals.” In the future, she suggests that we leave copies of our newsletter at the register of stores and also hand them out with adoptions. Thank you so much, Laura!
Jamie Aronow
JAMIE ARONOW has been volunteering for the Dog Division for 15 plus years. She became aware of our organization from a friend who volunteered for us and had such positive things to say that Jamie soon became our volunteer also. In addition to her home in Ambler, Jamie volunteers at Eagle County near her home in Colorado where she walks dogs and spends time with the cats and kittens there. She hopes to volunteer at the Shaw Cancer Center to help infusion patients. What Jamie likes most about Spay and Save is the “hard work and dedication by the people who head the volunteers.” In her words, she appreciates how “small but mighty Spay and Save is” and would like more people to become aware of Spay and Save to get our dogs and cats adopted more quickly. Jamie, we appreciate your humanity to both our four and two footed beings. Thank you!
